Guilty as hell…

If I were a psychiatrist, I’d've been responsible for more deaths than Al Capone. Patients after having a discussion with me in their troubled states would either have hanged themselves or got drowned. Some might even have blown their brains out or come under a speeding train. But I assure you, I’d only have had their best interests in mind. Perhaps the only thing that I’d've been guilty of, were it so, would be not being able to communicate my mind to them.

Do you know the saying “the opposite of good is well meant”?
Somebody else’s best interest is usually not a good way to go because you yourself are saying what his/her best interests are.
But don’t worry. As Watzlawick said, “You can not not communicate” [sic] and as we communicate all the time, we get better all the time.
At least your patients would finally find some peace.
Also, I don’t think Capone killed that many people.

Well your “less” communication; make people take extreme steps..i wonder what “full” communication will do
Your patients could be accused of selective listening!!
