Despite being a serious No(vak), he showed Jo the door, with style, panache and a gritty hospitality. Jo was good too, but endurance and perseverence mattered in the end in which he was found to be a shade more wanting. The initial burst soon gave way to a tiring double set but then he steamed up for the all important final round. This Australian Open sure has been unsettling on so many counts. Sharapova finally winning a title is a good sign.

Oh, Chelsea won its draw against Wigan Athletic late last night. Anelka, despite unable to touch the ball in the first half, finally scored redeeming the hope the fans had in him. Is he worth of the money shelled out? Only time will say. Chelsea sure is grossly missing the services of its seasoned players. That they managed to win, should be more a matter of introspection than jubiliation.

Another thing, there’s this guy I met in my guitar class. He plays the guitar so damn well that it’s a great way to spend time just listening to him. Last evening, I spent around 2 hours listening to him and despite his being tired I still asked shamelessly if he could play for some more time. I’ve practicing hard since yesterday… hope it gets me somewhere.

Reading The Elephant Man isn’t a great experience, but I need something light to sober me up. After all that, that happened earlier. But I guess I need to see the movie, it’s got a great star cast.

Sitting here writing this post, I am occasionally glancing up at the television, casting a glance on the MTV Roadies show. Hundreds of boys and girls lining up from far off places, making a fool of themselves on the nation over does sound quite disturbing. Do we really need the seal of a channel to prove ourselves, or let ourselves be judged by two persons who themselves are not much judging by their behaviour, but then as they say appearances can be deceptive. I hope I’m wrong. Else, it’d be a shame… letting our generation be fooled big time. Btw, they are not all that bad, considering the idiocacy of some of the youngsters showing up.
